Clicker's Remorse

The internet analog of buyer's remorse, wherein one comes to regret having clicked on a link of interest after they look up at the clock minutes or hours later and realize that they have invested an inordinate amount of time reading an article, playing a game, conversing with someone, looking at photos, etc. which they would not have spent had they resisted the impulse to "check it out"...

Upon looking up at the clock and realizing he'd spent the last 2 hours choosing the cuter kitten after clicking on the link his sister had emailed him Danny developed a strong feeling of clicker's remorse for not having resisted the urge to click on the link.

clicker

television remote control; term dates from the late 1960s when the first tv remotes made a loud click when the buttons were pressed (because they sent an audible high-pitched noise to a microphone in the tv which would then change channels or volume. The click was actually a small hammer inside the remote that struck a small metal tube which made it resonate. Each button on the remote had it's own tube.) The type was discontinued due to the fact that someone dropping their keys or the phone ringing would cause the tv to go crazy and change channels by itself.

I can't find the clicker. Did it get lost in the couch again?

clacked

When someone is really, really, REALLY high or drunk. Auditory and visual functioning are impaired to comedic levels and the individual expresses a desire to stay in a place where other people want to leave OR leave a place where everyone is staying because the alcohol and drugs are impairing their thought processes and physical stability.

Jason Red was already clacked, but the Twerk Queen twerking on him pushed him over the edge and made him the party early. "I'm clacked! I got graduation tomorrow and I'm hungry."

Billy Blue was so clacked that he had to have an escort (Zack Black) to prevent security from kicking him out because of his boisterous and rowdy behavior.
