Palo Alto

1. Uber rich California town that made it's zillions from the tech boom of the 80's. Went down a bit after the tech market crashed, but the residents are still far from poor.

2. A kickass song by Radiohead, probably about the same town.

Contra Alto Clarinet

Contra alto clarinets are tall deep e flat clarinets. They are by far the best clarinet because they are rich and deep and make an awesome bass section. They're way better than baritone saxophones because, they just are.

Crazy clarinet players that play a bunch of instruments love to play the contra alto clarinet and when their teacher gives them some music for it, they get VERY excited.

Contra alto clarinets are reed instruments. A reed is a piece of plastic or bamboo that vibrates when air goes over it and it creates sound. A reed is kind of like one of those sticks doctors put on your tongue.

Since the instrument is so tall, you have to sit on two chairs or even a stool sometimes. It makes you feel powerful like a king or queen. You dominate the whole band.

Wow, what instrument is she playing? Oh thats a contra alto clarinet.

shallow alto

A city about 30 miles south of San Francisco on the peninsula which is touted as having the highest percentage of shallow peoples in the San Francisco Bay Area. Most of these folks are neuvo riche, self-entitled, narcissistic, .com transplants from out of state and more often than not, from out of the country.

Our neighbors that have a new Tesla live in Shallow Alto but we live in Palo Alto with our 1980's Toyota Pickup.

Altoona

A town in Pennsylvania that people from out of town call quaint and people from the area know it as hell. If you take the bad part of a small city like Pittsburgh that is roughly the size and appeal of Altoona. Yes, the best definition for Altoona is, other than the metropolis of Blair County, a town with the largest drug problem per capita of any city in Pennsylvania, and the highest depression rate. Though, Johnstown was deemed the most depressing city, it was only because the people in Altoona were far too depressed to get out of bed and vote. Furthermore, Altoona is the only place on Earth where drive-by shootings are so pathetic a person can fire fifty bullets into a car and cause no damage to the driver.

I thought about going to Altoona but decided casturation seemed more appealing.

Alto Sax

One of the most underappreciated instruments in the woodwind section, the Alto Sax is tuned to E-Flat, a Fourth higher than the Tenor sax,an octave higher than the bari sax, and a fifth lower than the soprano sax.

Our Saxophone Ensemble features 5 Alto Saxes, 2 Tenor Saxes, and 2 Bari Saxes.
