4D-Dream

An immersive, multi-sensory dream experience in which one’s mind and body engage with dream events as though they are enhanced, just like a 4D cinematic experience. All five senses—sight, sound, touch, and motion—are fully activated, creating a sensation reminiscent of being seated in a 4D theater, yet the entirety unfolds within the confines of one’s dream. The experience may involve scenarios such as riding a rollercoaster, navigating through space, or evading a storm, during which the body responds naturally, as if one were physically immersed in a 4D cinema.
Last night I had a 4D-Dream where I was surfing a giant wave—the water splashed on my face, my body tilted with every turn, and even the wind ruffled my hair. I woke up feeling like I’d just left the theater.

4D Geometry

The study of shapes and spaces in four dimensions, where the fourth dimension is typically considered time or an additional spatial dimension beyond our familiar three. In 4D geometry, objects have four mutually perpendicular axes, allowing for forms that would seem impossible in 3D—like the tesseract (a 4D cube), which projects into our world as a cube within a cube with connecting lines that don't actually touch. 4D geometry explains why your keys seem to disappear into thin air (they've merely shifted into the fourth dimension) and why your phone is always in the last place you look (you're only checking three dimensions). It's the geometry of time travelers, interdimensional beings, and anyone who's ever said "it's in another dimension" as an excuse.
Example: "He tried to explain 4D geometry to his friend by describing a tesseract—a cube within a cube with all corners connected. His friend asked if that was like Inception. He said no, it was like a cube that also exists in time. His friend asked if that was like a movie. He gave up and said 'it's complicated,' which is 4D geometry's favorite phrase."

4D Sciences

The systematic study of phenomena across the four dimensions of spacetime—length, width, height, and time. Unlike 3D sciences, which treat time as a separate parameter, 4D sciences integrate time as a full dimension, meaning objects are understood as four-dimensional "worldlines" extending from birth to death. A person isn't a 3D object that changes over time; they're a 4D object—a spacetime worm—with their infant self connected to their adult self connected to their future corpse. 4D sciences explain why you can never step in the same river twice (the river's 4D shape is different), why your past self feels like a stranger (they're just far away in the time dimension), and why you should be nice to your future self (they're literally the same 4D object).
*Example: "She applied 4D sciences to her relationship, viewing it as a single four-dimensional object rather than a series of 3D moments. The fights weren't separate events; they were just points on the relationship's worldline. The good times were other points. The whole thing was one continuous shape. It didn't make the fights hurt less, but it helped her see them as part of something larger."*

4D Physics

The study of physical laws as they operate across the four dimensions of spacetime, treating time not as a separate parameter but as a full coordinate alongside space. In 4D physics, objects are understood as four-dimensional worldlines—complete trajectories through spacetime from beginning to end. A person isn't a 3D object that moves through time; they're a 4D object—a spacetime worm—with their entire existence laid out like a path. 4D physics explains why time seems to flow (we're just moving along our worldline), why the past feels fixed (it's just the part of the worm behind us), and why you should have paid attention in relativity class (because your GPS needs 4D corrections to work). It's the physics of block universes, where past, present, and future all coexist, and your sense of "now" is just a local illusion.
*Example: "He tried to explain 4D physics to his girlfriend after being late again. 'According to block universe theory, my being late is just a point on my four-dimensional worldline. It's not a choice; it's geometry.' She said his worldline was about to intersect with the couch if he didn't start being on time. 4D physics had failed to save him."*

4D Technologies

Devices and systems designed to operate across the four dimensions of spacetime, treating time as a manipulable dimension rather than a one-way flow. 4D technologies include temporal browsers (letting you view past and future versions of websites), 4D printers (that print objects which change shape over time—imagine a chair that becomes a table at noon), and the much-anticipated "time-back" button that lets you undo the last five minutes of your life (currently only works for video games, and only sometimes). The holy grail of 4D technology is the "worldline navigator," which would let you see your complete four-dimensional self from birth to death, assuming you want to know how it ends. Most people don't buy it.
4D Technologies Example: "He bought a 4D technology headset that let him see his own worldline—his entire life laid out in spacetime. He saw his future self, happy and fulfilled, and felt reassured. Then he realized that future self was 20 years older and bald. The technology had given him both comfort and anxiety, which is what 4D tech always does."
