A hijab is an article of clothing Muslim women don to protect their modesty. It is not not covering of the head, it is covering of the body with modest and loose clothes that do not show how her body is shaped. I am a hijab, and I chose to wear it. I've become more aware of how boys, teenage ones ogle women as objects and even calling them out with lewd and ludicrous names. Islam protects women by giving us the opportunity to know why the hijab should be worn. We became stronger and the hijab displays our strengths, and not how we look. Women who claim to be feminists and don tight and tiny articles of clothing are ignorant. The true feminists are Muslimahs who wear the hijab, refusing the be objectified by men who have no morals.

Once Lena began wearing the hijab, people started recognizing her for her intelligence and amazing sense of humor, not the way her body was shaped.
