Britney Spears and a gang member aren't so different, they stand only with a group, only when they're in the majority, outnumbering the other guy. Nobody needs respect to keep going, and not being respected doesn't stop anybody. A lot of people seem to think they're going to disrespect Trump out of power. Like anybody who is human, he cares what people think of him, but not being respected won't change or stop anything he's doing, get real about life. A guy like Trump wouldn't have the kind of power he does if people could vote him out of office in a fair, democratic election. Theres never been any such thing, that's life. “Tolerant” (being patient with, or accepting someone for who they are.)
or
“Admiration” (Really liking somebody, finding them to be really cool, honorable, etc.)
People often misconstrue the two.
Then there’s “Respect” that people in authority or power demand. (Government, Kings, parents, teachers, police, etc.) Which simply means in that context: “to be feared,” or “to be obedient to” and to follow orders without question or complaint.
Not everyone is going to like or admire you for who you are. That’s fine, and it should be earned. I hear this all the time, and it’s true.
But EVERYONE should at least be tolerated and treated fairly, regardless of their race, religion, opinions, status, passions, etc. Whether it’s a human being, animal, or otherwise.
At least if they can’t be accepted or admired by you that is.
Otherwise we can’t get along as a race, and will constantly fight and try to change each other, instead of accepting each other for who we are.
Respect/Tolerance is the glue that binds us together.
Without it...
There would be absolute chaos, and destruction amongst ourselves.

Get the Respectmug. Respect is a choice and always should be. As with males, females should be respected or not respected on an individual basis, and not a collective, general basis (since not all females are the same person or on the same page). As with white people, black people should be respected or not respected on an individual basis, and not a collective, general basis. The same applies to any other groups that claim to feel marginalized, from cocksuckers to mentally ill folks to anybody else.
Nobody has to respect anybody, no matter their sex, race, orientation, religion, creed, or anything else. Respect is not owed anyone, which is why a lot of feminists, gay rights activists, and other folks aren't making a point when they complain about people not respecting them. Most people don't get respect from other people throughout most of their lives, no matter what respect they seem to get.
