Emo

Emo is a subculture that enveloped around a musical style known as Emo that is derivative off both the 80's punk and teen angst mentality of the Punk Rock/Metal musical scene and the 90's Gothic Rock/Hardcore, and is more ever some thing leached on to by the 21st century teenagers who, seeking to ether be cool or vent frustrations and express their own pseudo-Originality developed what you see as Emo, musically much like the other two, culturally taking the rebel Teen Angst from Punk and the hatred for self and others from the Goth underground, it is now what you see today, a mess of culturally cliché stereotypes in a deprived time in cultural modern history.

Emotionally Angst Teen is told NO, Teen, because his mother wouldn't attentional to her son's emotional problems or father doesn't see why his son won't play sport like kids of his age, Becomes Depressed and create emotional poetry, Emo shares poetry, Others feel sorry, and thus promote this.

This catches on, and now you have a subculture.

emo

emo is well, many things from many different points a view so thing they are just "fags" who dress weird. some look at the root of the word emo emotive hardcore/emocore, a type pf music. some branch off from the root of the word emo, they see it as a way to dress which came from the "emo" bands and their fans way of dressing. their there are those who see it as people who cut themselves or hurt themselves in some way. then there the people on the other side of this, the people who preform the music, dress in tight clothing and band t-shirts, and the people with emotional problem of some sort. the band just are taking advantage of the new emo crowds growth. the people who dress emo see it as fashion or a way to express themselves. the people with emotional problems vary widely from have a self esteem issues depression personality disorders excreta. these are often caused by people judge them in some way, no matter how lard the judgment was.

outsider to emo1:did you hear that new punk band?
outsider 2:yeah but their not punk their EMO, whatever that means.

outsider1:did you notice that emo guy from English?
outsider2:yeah he was like decked out is skinny stuff

emo

a small, spineless, ratite teenager, Emo (Dramaticus) cuttingaeskinaeforattentionae, of America, resembling the goth but smaller and having comparatively no spine, neck, or testicles.

the emo was first sighted in the early-1980s in Washington D.C, but was put on the endangered list in the late-1980s. in the 1990s, the emo made a comeback, before once again returning underground. In the mid-2000s, the first emos returned from underground, in their present day form.

EMO

mo was originally a nickname for "emotive hardcore" (type of music), but has evolved into meaning "emotional" because it was misinterpreted, since fans of this music were ususally known for being a bunch of depressed-self-harming-teens with too much free time. It's all stereotypical. But this is what it's known for now. An emo person (like I said stereotypical) would be very depressed, hate the world, including themselves and probably cry all the time. They've even stereotyped and emo style. Usually "emo" kids dress in skinny jeans, dark colors (but not all black), band tee shirts, and chucks. But, like I said about 5 or so times. IT'S ALL STEREOTYPICAL!!! And it did originally mean "emotive hardcore". (and if some one dresses like that it doesn't mean they're gonna go suicidal!)

1.) A sub-genre of punk rock that features emotional lyrics. Some popular Emo bamds are MY Chemical Romance, The Used, 30 Seconds To Mars, Owl City, The Acadamy Is......., Death Cab For Cutie, and Black Veil Brides.
2.) A melodramatic teenager who listenes to emo music, dresses in black skinney jeans, black converse high tops, a tight-fighting black band shirt, and dye their hair black. a commen misconception is that emo's cut themselves, but thats not true.
