It is a primordial fragment from the original "Big Bang" of stupid. Some pure essence of a stupid, so uncontaminated by anything else, as to be beyond the laws of physics that we know.

So stupid, one could relate such a measurement to a shit-ton, or a fuck-load. Blazing hot, mid-day on mercury stupid.

Originating from Zero Dark Hundred and the more well known Zero Dark Thirty; All being variations of military timings meaning midnight, or half past midnight.

Zero Dark Stupid is a generalization of these timings, meaning "at some ungodly hour in the morning".

Private Pyle had to get up at zero dark stupid and run laps around the camp, or else the DI would stomp his guts out for being a famf.

This person has surpassed the normal level of idiocy, they are an embarrassment to society and the human race. They are the epitome of ignorance. And if you say something they don’t have enough brain cells to come up with a logical response.
