people who wear vineyard vines, polo, lilly pulitzer, monograms, bow ties, hunter rainboots, j crew, ll bean, and sperrys. we go to private school that costs more then your whole family makes in a year. only live in maryland, new york (long island), Massachusetts, maine, and Connecticut. play lacrosse and field hockey. spend their weekend at the families farm riding horses or at the families lake house. we do not wear ambercrombie at all or pop our colors. boys wear sport coats with pastel color shirts a pair of croakies, and boat shoes. girls wear lilly dresses or j crew shorts with an oxford shirt on rainy days we wear a north face and a tall pair of hunters. we can be found driving our parents range rover, land rover, mercedes, lexus, or g wagon. do not call us stupid or uneducated because need i remind you we go to the best schools in the world and will eventually become doctors, lawyers, and business owners. we commit to play lacrosse at a top d1 school very early on. people are quick to judge but we are not that mean.

Preppy

Preppy originated from the style of people who attend prep schools, now the use of the word has broadened, you don't need to go/went to a prep school to be preppy. Preps are usually wealthy and well off, they wear nice, expensive clothes because they can afford it, they vacation often, & they live the "privileged life". A few common brands preps wear are:
- Ralph Lauren
- J. Crew
- Vineyard Vines
- Lilly Pulitzer
- Lacoste
- Tommy Hilfigure
Preps clothing style is Clean cut, polished, & classic. Preps are NOT trendy, they do not follow trends, and they don't wear cheap brands. Preps care about their education, they receive or aim for above average grades. Preps are confident and not afraid to be above the trends. Just because someone is preppy doesn't mean their parents or others family members are too. Some preppy sports are;
- Tennis
- Lacrosse
- Field Hockey
- Horseback riding
Preppy is not just a style, it's a life style.

Preppy

A student who plays sports. A student who cheats off of their friends to have a 4.0 Students who get Student of the Month every year. Students where the teachers think their perfect because they, play sports, get good grades, and are in student council. In my school the preppy kids wear sweatpants and Birkenstocks. They also don't belive that they are preppy, so I made this for them.

Dear preppy kids, I made this for you so you might figure out who you are.

I am not preppy, but everyone in Gossip girl is.

preppy

A preppy is a student in a college prep school, where young people are taught subject matter that is intended to prepare them for the best colleges. The term could technically apply to any student in such a school, but the classic preppy stereotype is usually implied.

A classic preppy has an attitude of superiority and a focus on group status. A typical preppy wants to stand out by fitting in with the in crowd. Therefore, they most often shop where other preppies do, for things that add to their social status. Typical preppies, such as jocks, cheerleaders, class presidents and prom queens, they will be in all the most popular cliques. They are supposed to be preparing for college, but they act like they are really just preparing to be socialites. Classic preppy types are usually stuck up.

Preppies are most often rather conservative in style compared to the rest of us, but they love the hottest trendy stuff within their conservative niche. Not everyone who goes to a prep school is a preppy. Preppies usually come from well-to-do families with respectable backgrounds and are accustomed to a life of privilege. Students who are not in the preppy crowd usually come from lower income families, often attending on a scholarship. Anyone who does not quite fit in with the preppy image or lifestyle will find it difficult to befriend one of them.

(This word is NOT to be confused with the word, prepper, which means something else.)

Although I attended a traditional prep school in New England, I was never a preppy. I lived on the poor end of the same street where many of my preppy classmates lived, but they, of course, lived at the upper end, where the big, fancy houses were. My mom and dad were divorced and I was only there on a scholarship, but the preppy girls all had dads who were highly paid professionals with careers as doctors, lawyers, psychiatrists, and such.

I never wanted to be a preppy, because those girls acted so selfish, vain, pretentious and arrogant that they all just seemed too shallow and unoriginal to be of any interest to me as people. I guess and hope that the attitude of most preppies has improved since I attended that venerable institution of learning in the 60s and 70s.

Preppy

A group of girls wear most of them come from good families and know not to do things such as drink/smoke/do drugs/ have sex. most of them wear Abercrombie, Hollister, Vera Bradley, UGG Australia and can afford these things. Most of them are nice to others and do not judge. They can afford these things and just because you can not afford these things does not mean you have on every girl that looks good in comfortable clothes.

Girl one: Let's go to the mall.
Girl two: Okay, but I have to finish my homework.

Preppy Fake: Lyk totez letz goo into abercrombie and have daddy buy dis 4 us and our puppies!
