Post Holiday Syndrome 

The syndrome you have when you have gone through a holiday and no longer have a functional daily rhythm. A person with a Post Holiday Syndrome will then be awake at night and sleep at day. It may be in relation to the heavy partying a lot of people do when on holidays.

Guy: "Dude, I can not possibly go to school now! I haven't gone to bed before 3:00 AM in the last 2 weeks! All this partying has been killing me!"
Dude: "You're not the only one with a Post Holiday Syndrome..."

bank holiday 

Noun to describe a series of vacation days in the old country. The banks are on holiday... so why should the rest of the lazy slobs go to work? Is it any wonder that the empire was lost (or perhaps it was just forgotten during one of those holiday fortnites).

1. The offices will be closed for the Bank holiday (and we will probably go out of business but who cares).

2. On the bank holidays, we go to Blackpool for a grand old time on the sands.

3. "It is hard to tell if the poor efficiency is due to incompetence or the volume of bank holidays".

Alt.suicide.holiday 

this is a website that was created by a british guy named mike marsden informing people on a number of ways to commit suicide. the website gave specific instructions on the many methods to kill yourself: how long it will take to die, the availability of the method, the certainty of death and any remaining notes on the method of choice. The website was not a joke and was meant to be taken very seriously. Micheal marsden took his life and the last official maintainer of the website was angela watson otherwise known as "psycho kitten"

1)SLITTING WRISTS (often not effective)

Available: You really need a razor sharp knife. Razors are pretty tricky to hold when they are covered with blood.

Notes:Don't bother with this method.
2)Bleach
Dosage: A bottle (litre or half litre)
Time: Hours/days
Available: Easily available
Certainty: Uncertain
Notes:Bloody painful - depends on your stomach getting corroded, the stomach acids escaping, and doing their dirty work in your vital organs. I have heard of people throwing themselves through plate glass windows in their death agonies after drinking this.

National Holiday Sex 

Sex recieved so rarely that it is potentially offered on the major National Holidays... New Years, Memorial Day, Independence day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas. It is not required that sex be offered on every national holiday, but can not be offered more frequently. Bithday sex and Anniversary sex can be included as well while still adhering to the term.

Roger: What did you do for Christmas

Dave: I drank beer while Karen wrapped the kids presents... then I got National Holiday sex.

over holiday time 

When employed, pulling enough hours to get overtime and continuing to come in on a day that is also a national or civic holiday, thus requiring payment not only of your hours, but time and a half due to the overtime and being paid for the holiday (full day).
Essentially 2.5X the money per hour.

-What are you doing on Labour Day?
-I'm working
-Haven't you worked enough? You're already getting overtime.
-yeah, but now I qualify for over holiday time
-really?
-yeah, time and a half... and a and holiday pay.
