Anyone who is arrogant about his extreme "green practices" and imposes his values on everyone all the time. He usually thinks of himself as open-minded and non-judgmental, when in reality, he is often the most judgmental one in the room. This person will often bring up global warming or recycling at inappropriate times and gets offended when others don't agree with everything he says.

Steve needs to lighten up with the environ-elitist behavior. Last week after his grandpa's funeral, he yelled at his grandmother for not buying eco-friendly toilet paper.

Someone who tries to tell you that there are more nerves in your brain than in your gut, just because of something they found in a book, even though your gut's telling you they're wrong. Anyone who gets that reference gets a cookie.

Person 1:That guy's an elitist. He just tried to tell me *insert fact here* when really it's *insert bias opinion here*
Elitist:But *repeat fact* is true. Look here *opens book*

A sweet baddie in Halo, which becomes your ally in some Halo 2 levels. One of them (the Arbiter) is a playable character in Halo 2.

I got owned by gold-armored Elites in Halo, but now that they included the energy sword as a weapon in Halo 2 I can finally have vengeance.

elitist

A person who suspects that maybe, just MAYBE, there is something higher or better in the universe than the way most people live..... and is not bashful about assuming ownership of this suspicion.

A person who finds it hard to live by the principle of "go along to get along".

This may sound scandalous, but "elitism", in one form or another is the only thing that makes it possible for the human race to transcend itself and grow toward a superior state of existence.

Elitism's an unpopular job, but someone's gotta do it, eh?

The word "elite", in French, means "elected".

Knowledge of French is always a dead giveaway that the person is an elitist, n'est-ce pas? (Blague!!)

One who has background knowledge about a subject and whose claims are supported facts. Those without the necessary and relevant knowledge often claim that those with knowledge are elitists.
The term intellectual elitism has arisen recently with the birth of the reactionary and racist Tea Party, but there has been a growing bias against informed, educated people since Ronald Reagan was the President of the U.S.

Fox entertainment news anchor Glenn Beck believes that everyone with more than a fifth grade education is an intellectual elitist.
