Distant cousins are the Maple Leaf western (Canadian), spaghetti western (Italian), baguette western (French), and the samurai movie (Japanese).

How to make a Kangaroo western:
They're all Aussie
There are probably Aboriginal people
Maybe add some surfers just for a joke
They say "mate" and "cunt"

They say "g'day mate" instead of "howdy partner"
Play Waltzing Matilda or something
BOOM! Aussie western is now a thing!
