A phrase comonly used to express a feeling of happiness or warmth. Can be used when walking into a warm room or when putting on an item of clothing that creats a snug feeling.

This can happen to characters who the author worships or loathes; to a plot/story arc the author wishes to change/"fix"/invalidate; to a shipping (character relationship) that the author favors or disapproves of; or even to the entire canon universe, if the author's philosophy and "sense of life" differs greatly from the creators' sensibility.
Note that calling something "canon rape" does not necessarily mean it's badly written...but since the term is considered pejorative, people tend to associate it with badfic.

Oh god, I just read that new Star Wars story that got posted. The way they demonized Yoda and the Jedi Council, and excused all of Annakin's murders, it was complete canon rape.

Canon can also be counted for when two characters don't end up as a couple in the end due to complications, but proclaim that they love each other anyway.

It’s pretty easy to spot a cadon they may look a lot like Miguel from the movie CoCo and is pretty short, OH and he is definitely Mexican. But cadon doesn’t make everyone just un poco loco he makes them muy loco! He’s SOOO fucking clingy and gets in everyone’s business. U may say that cadons the DUFF of the group who try’s to be cool when all of his friends are just 10 times cooler than him. Cadon also has a very short fuse and he’ll try to go off on you but will ultimately fail.
