Covid times

1. A period of extreme uncertainty characterized by global public unrest and demonstrations, hyper-partisan acrimony, a health pandemic, economic doldrums, social and cultural upheavals, general unrest, and fear about the future.

2. A period when everyday activities are locked-down, when people must stay six feet away from others (social-distancing), and when the wearing of face masks becomes the norm.

Covid cute

Similar to a 'butterface' or Australian 'prawn', COVID cute is when you see someone wearing a mask who looks attractive. You automatically create an ideal image of what their face must look like, but when their mask comes off, you're disappointed
That guy was definitely COVID cute, I don't know what I was thinking now that I've seen his face.

Covid-10

The 10lbs in weight we're all gaining from comfort-eating and comfort-drinking.
On a Zoom call to Mark, Anthea quickly realised he was experiencing Covid-10 as his cheeks were bloated, and his chin had virtually doubled.

Junior had to ask Dad to stop eating all the tubs of ice cream on a daily basis, or he would become very chubby and catch a mild form of Covid-10.

Covid-coward

Someone who is young, perfectly healthy, and has no one who is at risk for getting really sick from covid in their life, but follows all the rules very seriously. They wear mask in places you don’t, social distance outside, got vaccinated right away, sanitize their hands religiously ect. They claim it to protect others but deep down in reality they are just that terrified of the virus that poses little to no threat to them or the people around them.
Joe is perfectly healthy and vaccinated and so is everyone in his family, but he’s scared to have everyone to come over for Christmas dinner this year, man what a Covid-coward!

Covid Hostage

When a country’s “zero Covid” policy leads to more restrictions and bans on both locals and aliens, often creating irrational fear and panic buying among them due to a shortage of fresh produce in wet markets and of basic essentials in supermarkets, including the closure of religious sites and hair salons nationwide.
How long more would Communist China hold the people in Hong Kong under Covid hostage?

Crying Covid

Similar to 'crying wolf'....saying you have been exposed to Covid and will have to stay home from work for a couple of weeks.

..
Linda: "Did you hear Linsey is 'Crying Covid' and won't be here to work on this big project?
Jean: "Yeah, and it's going to be our most difficult one yet!"
