The Cracked Voice

The term given to the writing style of any loosely-cobbled and poorly-researched list article that has been run through an algorithm of bland jokes to ensure that it hits the maximum number of search keywords to attract the lowest common denominator and thereby raise immense advertising revenue for very little effort.

That comedian was terrible. Someone should tell him to quit talking in the Cracked Voice. Only twelve-year-olds think that's funny.

Dixie Chicked

When a left-leaning public figure is aggressively made the target of potentially career-harming criticism from well-connected right-leaning individuals, institutions or news outlets, as in the way the Dixie Chicks were lambasted for their opposition to the Iraq war in 2003.

Paul Krugman definitely got Dixie Chicked by Donald Rumsfeld after that op-ed where he said the neocons tried to use 9/11 as an excuse to go to war.

Chucked

1. When you go out for a few drinks and end up staying there until the bar closes because one of your friends convinces you to stick around. 2.To have the whole world in the palm of your hand and then piss it all away 3. Figure of speech. Incapable. Damned. Helpless 'up Creek without a paddle 4. To be violently attacked in the wilderness, up the creek with no paddle, to have sugar put in your gasoline, etc. 5. When you come into contact with a really annoying person. Usually someone with a high opinion of themself.
