A "new wave" artiste of dubious ability, most well known for being a Champagne Socialist.

Much has written in the specialist press concerning his early break into the music business and his entanglement with the well known louche impresario Cock-Stand Cuthbertson, various episodes from which have led to his oft quoted soubriquet of Percy.

Chas: Look at that prick, he's just stumbled into a selection of cold meats "oi Percy, bit unsteady on yer plates eh mate"

Dave: Percy? So that's Billy Bragg - what a tosser.

Chas: Yeah, right, "Bard of Barking" my arse.

Billy Bragg: Gis a fag.

Dave: Piss off Percy, you ponce.

Billy Bragg: Aww c'mon lads I'm one of you.

Chas: Nah mate, you aint.

Best bassist in the world. Played bass guitar for Mr. Big, Steve Vai, and David Lee Roth, just to name a few. His style is fairly unorthadox using techniques often found on guitar more so than bass.

Billy Idol beatdown

One night I had a dream in which I caught Billy Idol stealing my computer. I grabbed my gel wrist rest thingy I keep in front of my keyboard and chased him outside into the street. When I caught him I beat him with the gel wrist rest thingy until he was bruised, bloody and unconscious. When I told someone about it the next day they laughed about it and I coined this phrase.

"Stop laughing at me or I'll give YOU a Billy Idol beatdown!"
