It's a word. We all know what it's derived from. We have become desensitized about it's meaning and we now try to use it as a term of endearment; which it is not, and
will never be. Rappers use it in songs and suburban white
kids sing these songs uncensored; yet in the presence of black people they edit the word out. What is this telling
us? It's telling us that people have not forgotten the
true/original meaning of the word. Using it within any race just shows complete unintelligence. What is the point of continuing to use a word that is derived from a period of
time when our ancestors were in chains? I understand that we are trying to change the meaning of it by making it a term of endearment, but it isn't working and we just need to get past
the used of the word.
I am a black female and if a
white, black, hispanic,
asian, or any type of person in the world calls me a nigger, negro, nigga, or whatever...problems
will ensue.
