When lactose intolerant people decide to stop being so good with restricting the dairy intake, and eat tons of dairy products, knowing the outcome will be horrific.

cringe binge

When one does something cringy while talking to someone, realizes that it was cringy and starts doing something even more cringy in order to cover up their previous action.
This can repeat endlessly or until the other person just leaves.

Monica had a cringe binge at my mother's funeral. She was making a speech and said a bad joke. Nobody laughed so she just kept making more jokes, each worse than the last one.
Then everybody left.
