I was in the pub and a guy was so giving me the texas stare, not sure if he was just dodgy or actually wanted to take me outside for a gun fight

Blackberry Stare

The period of time needed to cast your eye over your Blackberry in order to see if you have mail etc.

Slightly longer than a quick glance and shorter than a gaze, when caught doing the blackberry stare, people not in the know will simply think you are stupid.

My mum thinks im in love with my phone. I was only giving it the 'Blackberry stare.'

When you're extremely drunk and you cannot concentrate on one thing, your eyes are either cross eyed, lazy eyed, or one is opened way wider than the other. Your face can remain stuck like this for hours, mouth is usually wide open and dumb founded as well.

vietnam stare

The quick glance soldiers gave each other in Vietnam because they didn't know how long each of them were going to be around to get to know each other. Today, the term is applied to 'newbie' people who move to a urban neighborhood from another state or from the suburbs during gentrification. These 'newbies' stay a handful of years at most before leaving to go back where they came from or to an area which has better schools and no crime.

Our neighbors just moved in next door and I gave them the 'Vietnam stare' when they waved at me.
