As far as I've heard so far, they're a good ska band. One of their songs (which I'm mentioning just for the title) "Johnny Quest Thinks We're Sellouts".

The first time I heard Less Than Jake was on Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 4 - "All My Best Friends Are Metalheads". At the time I didn't know it was ska and after going to Cornerstone Festival 2003 now love ska! Ska is the shit!

Tighter Than Dick's Hatband

An old southern idiom. Could be used to identify a place that is empty, a person who is wound up, or any number of situations where the word "tight" is used. Nobody seems to know who Dick was. Apparently he had a tough time keeping his hat on his head.

I went and checked that place you told me about. They've closed up tighter than dick's hatband. Have been for years.

Describes a euphoric experience, often food-related, quite similar to an orgasm. Usually used by women, as for most men there is nothing better than sex. Such an assertion will often precede a lengthy debate on whether the expression is accurate.

On the internet, this word does not exist. It is an anachronism - an attempt to hold on to the old ways of proper English. Don't bother using it. People under the age of 25 will just assume you made a typo while typing "then".

I would rather drink Drano than remember even the simplest lessons from elementary school English class. Errrrr, I mean 'I would rather drink Drano THEN remember...'

Refers to someone that is stuck-up, or a snob. They must ALWAYS be the leader, and they are always a good leader. Ironically, they always have numerous faults, but never EVER admit to them.
