To abort a nuclear reaction in an emergency. Originally, the fuel rods were held in place over a retardent material by ropes. In the event of an emergency, a guy with an axe stood at the ready to cut the ropes, dropping the fuel rods into the control material, thus halting the reaction. Acronym for Safety Cut-Rope Axe Man.

scrambled eggs and ketchup

Scrambled eggs and ketchup is road rash. Typically this happens form bicycle, motorcycle, scooter and skateboarding accidents on the road. The victim's skin is scratched up into small pills and when mixed with the oozing blood, it looks like scrambled eggs and ketchup.

Oh man did you see Mike eat down that hill. His knee and arm were totally scrambled eggs and ketchup.

The little bits of fat left in the bottom of the fried fish display counter. Chip shop bosses will often sell you the 'scraps' on a roll or a bap for a very cheap price. Common in north east England, particularly Darlington.
