In Texas, Ratchet hour is from 1-2 AM, while it's always Ratchet hour in Louisiana.

Ratchet (Jamaican)

A knife carried by Jamaican bad boys. The locking pin is equipped with a ring that your index finger fits through. When you pull on the ring it moves the locking pin so the blade can swing out. Bad Boys often file the locking pin down so the blade can easily open, usually with a flash of the hand.

1. A New Jersey based movement found on the notion that punk should confront the state, not lie in bed with it. Ratchet Punks reject all conventional norms of social conduct, moral code and any PC punk nonsense. Being ratchet, or ratchetness involves giving no f$ck$, staying drunk and high, having as much unprotected sex as possible, and loving the ass. Ratchet punks listen to all forms of punk and metal, with a profound appreciation for trap music and modern hip hop.

- A particular type of ratchet which believes she is in fact not ratchet. This specific type of ratchet looks down on other ratchets, operating under the mistaken belief that she is not one of them. Although this specific class of ratchet engages in typical ratchet conduct, she is unable to handle the rigors that inevitably accompany the ratchet lifestyle.
