Pushing the Broccoli

This phrase applies to situations when a girl comes round and she is not what you expected, be it because she has 'catfished you' or she just had really strong game and come round without you first asking for a picture. You still want to hit it up because otherwise it is a waste of time and the rest of the night will be awkward if you reject it, so you hesitantly sit there and reluctantly fool around with it like a kid eating tea that mum has cooked knowing that you have to eat it, but you just really don't want to.

Oh dude i got a chick over last night and i was pushing the broccoli until i blew so that she would leave.
