southern term for losing one's temper, "flying off the handle", etc. Note that the R.E.M. song of this title has nothing to do with religion, despite the common misinterpretation of the phrase.

relieving yourself

Relieving one's self is a polite way of saying "peeing". For example "He proceeded to relieve him self against a tree" or "She had remove herself from the dinner table momentarily to relieve herself".

Could you excuse me?, I have to relieve myself. Hence "relieving yourself"

When you're pretty much boyfriend/girlfriend with somebody (holding hands, making out, etc.) but neither of you have discussed the ambiguous relationship status.
