Here are some misconsessions with age groups

Middle School kids.
You will rarely find a true prep between these ages. Well, at my school I never did. They thik that Abercrombie, Aeropostale, and Hollister are the true clothing stores for preps. They try and act ditzy so thats what they think what they should act. And, commounly use the word like and OMG! They dont like the classic style they go for What's hot and which one makes me look cute. So basically, if you are a tru prep and you in Middle School. Then, I say good luck for you.

High School.
This is where you'll find more true preps. There are fakes, but more because they might understand the concep a little more then middle school. There isn't as much too say about this group except a true prep:
a.)does not go to the mall stores
b.)uses a classy style not what's new and hot
c.)this is a iffy dont pop the collar
d.)aren't ditzy or bossy
e.)dont make fun of the other social groups
f.)never label themselves

fake prep-LIKE OMG!!! you should the HOLLISTER jeans their hot not old

Oratory Prep

A school in Summit, NJ which rather small but easily out does all other private schools in the area. Seton Hall prep can beat Oratory in a few sports but is mostly made up idiots. Delbarton, is a school not even spoken of in Oratory, because they are too low to even think of. The dances thrown by Oratory are famous for their great DJ's and all the sister schools prefer Oratory's dances over Seton Hall's and Delbarton's. If you were accepted into Oratory you are among the finest men in NJ.

P.S. Did i mention that Oratory beat Delbarton AND Seton Hall Prep in Varsity Soccer this year?

Oratory Kid #1: "Hey, are Bob are you going to our Oratory Prep dance tonight?"
Oratory Kid #2:"Of course I am. Oh God, here come some Seton Hall kids and Delbarton kids.
Seton Hall kid:"Hey fags, hows Oraltory?"
Oratory Kids:"Sorry, gotta go get mad biddies at our dance, later scum."

preparanoid

The state of preparing yourself for what could possibly occure but will never happen.

The state of having a loaded gun under your pillow for when the clowns come to eat you. "CAN'T SLEEP... CLOWN'S WILL EAT ME. CAN'T SLEEP... CLOWN'S WILL EAT ME."

My grandmother made me so preparanoid that we were going to be homeless this Christmas, that I totaly forgot about wanting presents.

ditz, bitch, slut, concieded, self-centerred, world revolves around them. generally posers go to lots of parties wear such expensive clothes as Hollister, American Eagle, Abercrombie and Fitch, Express, Armani Exchange, and shop at Victorias Secret for bras that they dont even need because they are fucking size 'A.' Also spend way too much on makeup like Bobbi Brown when they can look just as skanky with Mabelline

Seton Hall Prep

A mediuim sized, all boys catholic school. If you play A sport, you are a god. Home of the "juicers". Run by jocks, especially jocks from Caldwell. Great at sports and proud to be anti-delbarton. If you are from newark , the oranges, the caldwells, and some of morris county....you prolly go there. Best known for its baseball team and the coach who runs it. If you can take on ten people at once and win in a fight, than you DEFF go here. You understand the phrase: "What's a Green Wave?" and "Daddy's beamer". Mainly because it pertains to the real ass pirates of delbarton. your lacrosse coach is crazy. if you go there than you have prolly grown up with everyone you are firneds with in the school. if not, than your from another state. home to THE best dances of any school in north jersey. some of your teachers might seem a little "out there"....thats becasue they were major stoners in college....and prolly still are. you also know that you can't hide the fact that you service the BIGGEST whores in new jersey, but that okay with you. but you are still the best school in north jersey and you know it.

Boy 1: I heard some kid took on 10 guys at once in a fight. Where is he from?
Boy 2: Seton Hall Prep.

Girl 1: Damn, i wanna bang, where should I look?

Derived from the word preppy which attained popular usage in the 1980's, but with earlier origins dating as far back as the 1950's. Originally a reference to a person who might attend preparatory school; usually a young person born to a wealthy or well-to-do family; a WASP (White Anglo-Saxon Protestant). By the 1980's it was used primarily to define a social clique among young people who dressed in a very prim and polished way, wearing for example Polo branded shirts with upturned collars, white slacks by Ralph Lauren, and boating shoes by Sperry. Owing to the fact that 90% of all preppies were neither wealthy (in the strict definition), headed for preparatory school, or accomplished sailors, preppy quickly gained a wider usage as a derogatory term more akin to poser or poseur. It is now representative of a young person who is very badly informed, and who, due to low self-esteem and a dodgy American education system, quickly falls prey to modern mainstream marketing practices and gladly shells out his or her parent's hard-earned dollars for items of little or no intrinsic value in the false hope that it will bring them popularity amongst their peers. They are the crass consumers of the 21st century, and a hard target for a large percentage of America's advertising dollars. They are inclined to choose clothing by brand rather than fit, style, or economic prudence, and are willing to pay a premium for outfits designed and sold by clothing companies that adhere to a strict, elitist, and above market-value pricing policy, such as Abercrombie & Fitch or Hollister Co.. They are more likely to be Republican, and will often seek salvation as hard-line Christians in later life, owing to the many failures they will suffer on the road to adulthood, and discoveries that "growing up" does not automatically confer upon them competence, accomplishment, or overflowing bank accounts, as their childish fantasies once led them to believe.

A prep is a person who considers Abercrombe & Fitch to be a "lifestyle choice".
