Cape Town

A tourist mecca on the African continent and a major destination for especially European expatriates and immigrants, due to its sheer natural beauty, Mediterranean climate, good infrastructure, outdoor lifestyle, buzzing party scene and beautiful people. Although most Capetonians speak Afrikaans as their first language, almost everyone speaks English and there are many Xhosa speaking people as well. Known in Afrikaans as Kaapstad (pronounced kaahpstut) and iKapa (ee-kahpah) in Xhosa.
