corporate jive

The brand of speech that the leaders of the corporate world frequently use in long, useless meetings about having other meetings, especially with regard to project and staff performance. Key works in the corporate jive language include hyphenated adjectives describing people, such as "highly- efficient," "self-starter," "goal-oreinted," and "power-user;" and non-commital descriptions of business performance such as "moderately optimistic," "below projected outlook," and "downtrend."
Despite the downtrend in the economy that has shown our revenues to be below the projected outlook, Vassal Company remains moderately optimistic about performance in the next quarter due to the highly efficient staff we have retained.

corporate ethics

Two words that don't seem to make sense together; large corporations can and often do use unethical means to gain public trust and their precious capital, for example, building big-box shopping malls on environmentally sensitive land where there may be endangered flora and fauna.
The corporate ethics of some of these food producers in Brazil leave a lot to be desired.
