A large, festive, outdoor party with barbecue or fried fish with all the fixings (side dishes) to eat. Can have loud, foot stomping, live music, dancing, games and alcoholic beverages for the adults. Preparations can start the night before with festivities lasting all day and well into the night. Clean-up the following day.
Our family hosts a wing dang do every Fourth of July down on the creek so the kids can go swimming and the fireworks will not bother the neighbors.

A redneck call of celebration to anything exciting. Particluarly popular amongst the river folk down in Aintry, Georgia (as depicted in the film "Deliverance"), the phrase is commonly used to cheer on some piggie-squeelin', cornhole action with an unsuspecting canoeist.
