One who is involved with all Technical aspects of a show/film/production, including but not limited to: Lighting Design/programming/implementation; Set Design/Construction; Prop Design/Construction; Costume design/construction; etcetra
Commonly known to wear all black, Join IATSE, and generally to have rather sick senses of humor. (Warning to all actors, they have Gaffers tape, they will stick you to the wall)
Note: The Stage/Production Manager can be considered to be a Techie, for they are considered "god" on set, the reason I set this aside is because they are not involved with IATSE, but with Equity.

Florida Tech

A private university in Melbourne, Florida known its abundance of incels,high cost, being 3/4 male, and recent rape cover stories. 75% of students lack any social skills, 15% are alpha males on sports scholarships, and the last 10% are too fried to notice. Campus security can often be seen busting freshmen for weed instead of taking care of the crackheads that wander in the popular botanical garden.

Tech Desker

Some who sets up a mini Tech Deck Skating object, such as a box, ramp or book for tech decking on your computer desk so he/she has something to do while waiting for a web page to load or for an IM response. He/She will make a lot of loud smacking sounds on the computer desk with the tech deck.

Billy was being a full on Tech Desker last night while waiting for the newest Fall Out Boy song to download on limewire.
