A hookup that actually has real emotion behind it. Not a drunk hookup or a random hookup with someone you've gone on a few dates with that you feel lukewarm about. A hookup with someone you really like. You can usually tell if it's an emotional hook if you don't want them to leave after hooking up.

Ryan: "So, how was it last night?"
Cal: "Dude it was actually great. The hook is so much better when you actually like them."
Ryan: "The fabled emotional hook?"
Cal: "Truly. Didn't want to them leave right after"

Emotional Colonic

Having a 20-30 minute vent session with a friend where you unload and perge all of your internal crap. You feel like a weight is lifted from you, figuratively and literally.

When you are done, you literally are lighter, more focused, and less full of emotional shit.

Lauren: Vicky, thanks so much for the emotional colonic yesterday, you're a great friend.

Victoria: No problem, life clogs us all up at some point.

Lauren: Ya, I just hadn't talked about hooking up with the guys from B2K and I just HAD to tell someone.

Emotional Ninja

A person who hides their true feelings and expectations about a romantic relationship in order to get closer to their chosen partner in hopes of coaxing them into a monogamous long term relationship. This behavior typically results in a surprise emotional outburst, catching one of the partners completely off guard.

I thought we had agreed that seeing one another wouldn't turn into anything serious, but he turned out to be an emotional ninja.
