As charter members of the SEC, there are many too many legendary figures (coaches, players, staff, administrators, etc.) and team or individual records to mention (i.e. All-Americans, National Champions, World Records). Although the Tennessee Volunteers have been their long-time rivals (especially in football and basketball), the University of Louisville Cardinals have been a more recent version.
