Refers to a form of societal induced peer pressure where society expects individuals to commit heinous, sometimes violent, generally destructive and/or polarizing actions in order to be socially accepted, whether or not said individual genuinely wanted to commit said actions or not.
Famous examples of Toxic Masculinity throughout history include: The Salem Witch Trials, The Spanish Inquisition, Stalinist Russia, many aspects of Spartan training.

Men who think they automatically are stronger and know more than women. They have no problem grabbing women without consent and are willing to get violent without serious cause.
Versus: Masculine men who are strong and tough. Have feelings that they’ll share when they feel like it. Understand that they don’t have to. Willing to protect but understand that violence is not the one and only answer.

That toxic male stuck his hand up my dress and then didn’t understand why he got his behind kicked by the normal guys who know he’s not cool, just a creep. Toxic masculinity at its finest. Seriously eye roll.

A feminist theory that has been around for decades long before the boogeyman of "leftist beta social justice man-haters" had come around, which had only recently become popular due to (rather insecure) people confusing and associating term for minority groups of political extremists that get cherry-picked online, to promote a culture of "cringe" and outrage.
This term has become a part of online discourse due to the recent drama (as of this time of writing) coming from a Gillette commercial condemning the idea of manhood being ignorant towards people of the opposite gender, and instead promoting a culture where people learn how to be socially conscious of one other.
The outrage that had sprouted out of this had come from the confusion and intermingling with circles of discussion on the internet that had been keen on promoting an outrage culture, bringing along people coming from those circles to rant, or merely discuss the apparent "misuse" terminology while at the same time misinterpreting the commercial as some sort of planned political agenda against the male masses.

Wow! How dare they mention my "toxic masculinity" in a commercial, that was just telling me to be nice towards the opposite gender? Oh that crossed the line! This is obviously the feminist agenda! Wow, I can't believe I got to see the day where men are so oppressed.

Men who overly describe themselves as “real men”.
They try to act tough, strong and admirable in any situation, even in those were these attributes aren’t appropriate.
While having more of a narcissistic personality, they often lack confidence and try to build up their ego by hating “weaker ones”.
Misogyny, homophobia and a narrow-mindset are common signs of toxic masculinity, such as the “Alpha-Male“ religion.

“Seriously, she makes more money than you?! Broooo”
“It’s all about mindset, yk”
Toxic masculinity can also be seen as a coping mechanism in our various lifestyle.
