In the context of gangstalking, a Token is an object that is left for a Targeted Individual to find, as a form of harassment. An object that has significance or relation to the TI, but would appear innocuous to other observers. Consistent with most other gangstalking tactics, Token placement is a way to harass the target while maintaining a cover of plausible deniability. Tokens are used as a signal to the Targeted Individual that they are being watched, that their location is known, and in some cases, that their home or other personal space has been entered.

James saw a souvenir keychain from the zoo left on his car. He suspected that this was a token left by gangstalkers because he had recently made plans over the phone to go to the zoo.
