To cause something to explode violently, especially orders of magnitude higher than intended.

The Parthenon (in Athens, Greece) was destroyed by the Venetians in 1687 after a stray mortar ignited a large ammo dump the Ottomans had stored inside. The resulting explosion was much larger than the mortar shell by itself, so it could be said that the Venetians 'noomed' the Parthenon.

Can also be used as an objectified verb: "Let's noom it!"
