No Money No Honey

A good rule to live by meaning if you have no money you should probably not be looking for a honey considering you won't be able to afford going on dates and such.
I'm too broke too date I need to follow the rule No Money No Honey and focus on getting a stable source of income before I start swiping on Tinder all the time again. I don't want to make my partner feel disrespected or neglected, especially during the holidays.

More money more honey

The more money a guy has the more girls he’s gonna smash (which in this saying would be represented as honey).
Everyone knows that the more money more honey you gonna get.

money grips and honey dips

late 80's rap/gang banger talk for making money and having sex with hot chicks but often used to express how smooth someone thinks they are on the basketball court.
( after sticking a jump shot at west fourth street I heard a guy say ) Yo , it's all about money grips and honey dips. I thought it was classic and I've used it ever since.

Honey Pot Money Shot

when your smoking glass gets so hot that the tar resin runs into your mouth
I took a big ole hit of my hitter the other day and right at the end i caught the honey pot money shot

Don't get your honey where you get your money.

Don't get into inter-office relationships. Do not romance a co-worker. Don't get your loving where you get your paycheck. Leave your private and personal life private.
Man: "I'm going to ask my new secretary out."
Friend: "Don't get your honey where you get your money."

No money, no honey.

A spoken expression: In its original and quasi-literal form, used by prostitutes to inform interested men that they have no interest in being chatted-up or smooth talked, that the only way for sex to occur is through cash payment. The word honey is used as a metaphor for the female genitalia.

A non-spoken attitude or mindset: In its modern, derived form, an understanding or implied contract between a man and woman, stating if the man wants sex on a continued, long-term basis, he must then provide money or gifts on a similarly continued, long-term basis in exchange for the sex.
Example 1: Look baby, don't waste my time with all that smooth talk, OK? This is a money game. No money, no honey.

Example 2: Dude, I'm so tired of my high-maintenance, trophy-ass wife. I can't even get laid anymore without first promising to buy her something outrageously expensive. Just today we were getting ready to fool around when out of nowhere she tells me she wants a new Rolex. Man, I'm so sick of this 'no money, no honey' bullshit from my own wife.
No money, no honey. by Mike2468 August 26, 2013

he loved his honey, but she loved money

it goes like this: a skanky golddigger of a woman finds someone (usually rich and/or famous), intoduces herself to him, they date and later they marry. She will usually bear the man's child, then leave him and file for divorce in order to get some of his moolah. In the 1984 song "Vice" (which appears on the 1985 Miami Vice soundtrack), Grandmaster Melle Mel describes a girl that some man adored who in the end was "another dirty old broad" and he goes on to say "he loved his honey, but she loved money".
Sir Paul McCartney met Heather Mills about a year after his first wife Linda McCartney died of breast cancer. She took advantage of the fact that his better half for a wonderful near-30 years of his life was dead and even though it was dumb and careless for Paul to fall for her despicable schemes, still, bad is bad and a golddigger is a golddigger. He loved his honey, but she loved money. Heather Mills is a greedy bloodsucking wench. I've seen it happen before to another musician in 1999.
