Pulling a Medford

Generally considered bad form, "Pulling a medford" refers to the act of bringing less beer to a party than you intend to drink, most often a Medford.

First Guy at party: "How'd Johnny get so wasted? He only brought four beers!"

Second Guy at Party: "Man, he's had like ten, that dude is always 'Pulling a Medford'."

Johnny: "Dude, you on your way to the fridge? Mind grabbin' be another cold one, brah?"

train of mediocrity

The people in the back of the pack during a multiplayer Mario Kart race. The 3rd place player is usually considered the "conductor", and everyone behind him is part of the train. The reason for the label "mediocrity" is that farther back player always get much better items that allow them to "cheaply" make up ground. A common scenario is that 1st and 2nd will be skillfully sparring for first place,and blue shell comes from the back of the pack and destroys the leaders. While they are the down the "conducter" and his "train" will pass the more skilled players while making whistling sounds.

(often spoken in a sarcastic tone)

Medford is the largest city in Southern Oregon located approximately 27 miles North of the California boarder. 75 miles from the Pacific Ocean. Elevation 1,382 ft.

Our city population is approximately 77,000 not including the surrounding small towns.
County Seat of Jackson County, Oregon.
2 City High Schools: North Medford (Black Tornado: Black and Red). South Medford (Panthers: Blue and White). Several Private Schools.
Beautiful Mountains and rivers!
All 4 seasons.
Light snow in winter, if any.
Warm to hot summers.
Lumber industry killed by the tree huggers.
Language: ENGLISH!
If you call it "Methford", it's because you're a "Meth Head"!

mediocracy

1) Rule by those who are of average or below average competence.
2) A society in which people with little (if any) talent and skill are dominant and highly influential.
3) A social or administrative system which is like an antithesis to a meritocracy.

Eg 1) "With the presidency of George W. Bush, America has completed its transition from democracy to mediocracy."

2)"The success of Big Brother is indicative of our present society being a in a state of mediocracy."

Pethos Medio-Archer

A philosopher well-known for his views on anonymity.
His most famous quote reads "Never underestimate the power of a powerful message, unshakeable resolve, an expansive lexicon, and an interesting pseudonym."

He published numerous political and philosophical articles and pamphlets under over thirty pseudonyms. It is not even known whether his true name is Pethos Medio-Archer, or if it was his most frequently used alias.

Very little is known about him.
