Born & Raised in Winnipeg,Mb ,the capital and largest city in the province of Manitoba, and the seventh-most populated city in the country of Canada with a population just under million ( 825,000 , as of 2021) Krooked Barz fell in love with music from an early childhood and the young MC was already writing his own songs by the time he was 10 .

On Mothers Day, Sunday, May 12,2019 Krooked Barz was shot on A North Winnipeg street at pointblank range in a "walk-up" style shooting. As he was walking to a nearby house for a mothers day celebration with his friends , one of whom had a 1 year old child in a stroller(luckily she never got hurt.)
