A great band formed back in 1996 that is constantly called a Lacuna Coil rip off band but both formed in 1996 (Lacuna Coil formed as Sleep of Right in 1994, but released no stuff until 1998 after they had changed their name to Lacuna Coil) and released their first EP's in 1998.
Girl: Eww. Evanescence, they like totally ripped of Lacuna Coil.
Guy: They both started in 1996 so getyour facts right

1. The event of fading and gradually vanishing from sight.

2. A metal band, founded on Little Rock (Arkansas) around the years 1995. The founders, were Ben Moody and Amy Lee. (Full: Amy Lynn Hartzler née Lee)
Ben Moody, who also served as a guitarist during Evanescence's first album, "Fallen" and most/all the Demos, evanesced from the band. Apparently, Amy Lee wanted to make the second album, of the 3-album contract with the recording studio (The Open Door) less "Christian-rock". Ben Moody didn't seem to agree, and so they decided that one of them should leave. Ben left, as you might have guessed... and Evanescence's second album, The Open Door was a hit. Now, we are expecting the new album, which is said to be released on 2010. :)
1. The evanescence of the morning mist wasn't completed, so the view from the roof was spectacular.

2. In my opinion, Ben Moody was right. Although, the second album of Evanescence didn't look very good to me, I wouldn't have preferred another vocalist for the band...

Simply words cannot describe how good they are! similar to Lacuna Coil, Nightwish, Him and,to a certain extent, Cradle Of Filth! They so good! Imaginary is best! thatscary bit in the middle is the defining moment of my life!
Evanescence are the best band ever!

A great band. With a kick ass lead singer. Their genre is post grunge. Which is cool, because I'm a big fan of grunge music. It sucks that Ben left the band. They've had 2 albums out, and they came to their height of popularity in march of '03 when bring me to life was released. Though they are still very popular.
I was a fan of 12 stones, so I heard the duet that evaneacence did with them. I liked Bring me to life a lot. I heard the song on WWE Raw, a month before it was released.
