Empology

Saying "I'm sorry" for something that isn't your fault, as a way to show empathy. This word is a portmanteau of "empathy" and "apology."

"So my dog died last week..."
"Oh wow, I'm really sorry!"
"It's not your fault!"
"I know, that was an empology."

An idea, product or practice that has a consistent positive impact on the ecology, and also "makes sense/cents" in terms of saving money.

Hybrid cars are ecologonomical since their fuel consumption is lower, thereby making them less expensive to drive.

Recycling is an ecologonomical means of obtaining materials with which to manufacture paper and plastic products.
