ducking

occurs when abusing downers(opiates, benzos, ambien, etc...) one will fall asleep for a few seconds, sometimes even a few minutes, and wake back up as their head falls forward. this occurs over and over again resulting in the user looking as though their head is bobbing up and down. much like a ducks head bob's up and down outside the water as they look for food.

Look at Tia. she's ducking hard right now.

Leaving early or hiding, sometimes in order to avoid a certain person or a group of people.

"Chris is coming over tonight, he wants to talk to you."

"What? Oh Emm Gee. Fine, I'm ducking. I don't feel like dealing with him tonight. Just...call me when he leaves."

"I'm gonna go over to Clint's tonight and see a movie with him and Courtney."

"Yeah? I guess I'm ducking out then, I'm gonna take a disco nap, so call me when you guys get out of the movie."

Ducking up the finish

Celebrating before actually crossing the finish line/goal line; resulting in an embarrassing loss or inability to score on what should be an easy score.

Man, the University of Oregon keeps ducking up the finish. Did you see that University of Oregon runner start celebrating before he crossed the finish line. He ended up losing to another runner because he was celebrating before he had actually won the race.

ducking Grady

Term coined by Stephon, a Lakeland, Florida-based rapper. He drew recognition for his song about avoiding Polk County Sheriff Grady Judd's deputies called “Ducking Grady". To duck Grady means to lay low and avoid someone, namely the police.

1) I can't get in trouble with the law tonight man, I'm trying to duck Grady.

2) They think they ducking Grady, but they ain't.
