A person or website that posts eye-catching headlines for stories that aren't very accurate or just plain made up, in the hope that they'll go viral on social media, bringing in ad revenue. Also, a generator of fake news that frequently claims to be doing "satire" when called out for just making up outrageous shit.

He fancies himself a hip satirist, but he's really just a second-rate clickbaiter.

A cheap tactic used to gain views. Common types of clickbait are misleading titles (You Won't Believe What Happens Next!) or more recently with the rise of custom YouTube thumbnails, misleading thumbnails-most commonly boobs.

1) There are so many clickbait articles here. Who writes this stuff anyway?

A game that consists of a cookie that must be clicked repeatedly to make more cookies. It gives you the illusion that you are making cookies, but you are really not. Tumblr seems to be obsessed with it (around August 2013)

The name of a very beautiful Swedish man, who is both charming and charismatic in nature, with touch of sarcasm, and great intellectual prowess, an is well cultured in worldly affairs.

Person 1: I just wrote an urban dictionary entry for the YouTube celebrity Mark Deck (The Click) .
Person 2: *after reading Person 1's definition of that YouTube celebrity, take long pause before saying anything* this is the biggest display of bullshit ass-kissing I have ever seen, omfg, how thirsty are you for this man?
Person 1: yes

P.S. I made this definition for to be funny and make people laugh, also, I made it because I didn't see anything on urban dictionary about, The Click, an I personally think that out of all celebrity YouTubers on YouTube, there is no one more worthy of an urban dictionary definition than him, he is a really amazing dude and deserves lots of love and way more subscribers on YouTube than he actually has right now, an I hope one day I can get to talk to him either online or in person and tell him that he is not just beautiful on the outside, but, also, beautiful on the inside too, and that if he should ever feel like he isn't good enough at something, that he should know that as long as he enjoys doing something then that in its own little way makes him good enough at it, in my opinion. 😊
