archeology

The study of whether or not there is a past; and if so what constitutes the past.

Also called phenomenology (self-annihilationism), extinctionism, and artifactualism.

Incorrectly called "annihilationism." (Annihilationism points in time forward.)
Archeology attempts to determine whether there was a past by differentiating artifacts from chimeras.

Historical phonology schematized by Saussure proffers that sound is the only artifact energizing (emergentizing) from quintions (sound-symbols).

Conversational Archeology

Refers to the act of tracing the origins of a long and rambling, possibly stoned conversation. The act of re-tracing generally occurs when there are three or more individuals in the conversation - and the rambling arrives at an obscure and perhaps unnatural topic.
How did we get talking about the janitor smearing shit on the wall in the boys bathroom? Let's do the conversational archeology here.

Archaeologist

Most commonly found scraping dirt off dinosaur bones, archaeologists are the Girl Guides of social science. Can always be relied upon to carry obscure equipment, which makes them useful in everyday situations and absolutely essential in case of attack by the undead.
Social Anthropologist: "If only I could somehow get level with those runes lining the walls of the pit I could translate them!"
Token Archaeologist: "I have some rope and a harness in my bag."

Person in Street: "I'm having a heart attack!"
Passing Archaeologist: "Here, take my spare defibrillator."

Email archaeology

Reviewing and answering fossil emails, senders of which have long lost any hope of getting a response. Usually done when bored to the extent of taking time to clean the inbox.
- Thank you.
- What's up bro? You answered an email from 3 years ago. Are you into email archaeology?
- Yeah, I got inspired by Jordan Peterson to make order in my bedroom, and went on to desktop icons and now the inbox.

- Put your mind in order first.
