A sabbatical during which time the individual taking the sabbatical does not anywhere, but stays at home instead. Also code for unemployed.
Frank: Where are you working these days?

Sabbatical

An indeterminate period of time taken by a middle-manager off-work, which may either be paid or unpaid, taken by someone who may or may not be successful, who also may or may not be in the midst of a mid-life crisis, so that they can decide what they want (or do not want) to be when they grow up, before eventually returning to their desk job after realising the golden age of piracy ended 300 years ago.

shibbatical

A Glorious Defecation. An enjoyable bowel movement which incorporates, at a minimum, the following characteristics: a relaxed moment, free of time pressures or interruptions; comfortable accommodations; smooth passing; an easy wipe up; and most importantly - the moment constitutes a break from a less enjoyable activity. Extra credit: Great view/reading material, at the workplace on over-time, escape from family turmoil, someone you Love to share it with.
At first I was bummed to have to work that holiday, but then I took a shibbatical in the executive washroom while making time and a half!

Sadbatical

Sadbatical: a period of time during grief which someone does not work and is able to rest and honor their sorrow.
As you may know, I've recently endured a tragic loss, and after much contemplation, I feel it is best I take a sadbatical for a temporary yet undetermined amount of time.
