Sadulations is what you say to somebody who is going through something stressful but good at the same time. It can be said when somebody has gotten a divorce-- you are sad because they have gone through it, but glad because they are out of a bad situation.

Eventually when Maria secretly plants some brilliant-lemon-yellow gladiolus flowers right outside of Oscar's trash can, the blossoms' imperturbably-sunny hue gradually warms Oscar's sulky disposition to the point where he can at least grumblingly tolerate the flowers, and so he is then marginally composed on the subject till next year.
