An occurrence on what had happened in the past like very long ago.

Leah and Ismail had built a car that could travel at extremely fast speeds. Then they thought about the car that they made and in retrospect they should have spent more time with its strength and durability rather than the speed or acceleration.

Retrospective falsification is the unconscious distortion of past experiences to conform to a person's needs in the present. Human memory is very malleable and can easily be hidden or distorted for any number of reasons. For example, an adult suddenly "remembers" being sexually abused as a child.
