1. An informal but widely acknowledged punitive action taken by disappointed fans of a TV show or motion picture series that has, after great anticipation, angered or otherwise failed expectations. This typically takes the form of a boycott of subsequent episodes or installments.

2. The economic or critical fallout resulting from same.

I'm glad "Clone Wars" died, it's time Lucas felt the geek reckoning after those three crappy prequels.

Phrase used to promise great vengeance for a supposed wronging. Vaguely religious undertones, but not necessarily religious in nature (i.e secular-inspired violence is acceptable)

Sars II: The reckoning is the second coming of the much loved sars corona virus. Commonly contacted after eating raw bats, or tonguing out an infected pigs rectum, it is still less deadly than living under a communist government. Many people who contract the virus go on to become a Covid plague rat, and many carriers are a Filthy Chinaman.

hectoring

When someone lashes and is more grouchy than happy for the smallest of things, a person who is hectoring usually shuts themselves off from the outside world after having a rant or tantrum. The Act of hectoring is also how quickly a person can get upset and how abruptly their tone of voice goes from calm to angry in a matter of seconds.

Roommate 1: Hey, I forgot to take the trash out today, sorry dude.
Roommate 2: WHAT THE HELL, YOU KNOW HOW IMPORTANT THAT IS!!!
Roommate 1: I said sorry dude, I completely forgot.
Roommate 2: I DON'T WANT TO TALK ABOUT IT ANYMORE, LEAVE ME ALONE!!! (walks away)
Roommare 1: Geesh..that escalated quickly, I wish he would stop hectoring and just get over it.
