He knew what they just said was not grammatically correct, but he understood it, responding "Phosphorus".

Adj. To ostensibly sound meaningful, when really there is no substance to the message.

Group poetry criticisms and discussions about religion are two of the most phosphorous things.

phosphorylate

Phosphorylation is the addition of a phosphate (PO4) group to a protein or other organic molecule. The addition of phosphate groups in proteins changes the way they wiggle and so changes what a protein does.

In a cellular signaling pathways, a protein A phosphorylates protein B, and B phosphorylates C.

I will phosphorylate you so hard your great grandmothers cells will undergo apotosis... again.
