The inability of drivers to understand how a parking lot works. These individuals pull down wrong lanes, drive through lanes and parking spaces

Pulling into the WalMart parking-lot some moron nearly ran into me because he was driving the wrong way. Yep. This guy definitely suffers from parking-lot illiteracy.

Doris Day Parking

If you watch old Doris Day movies, she has the most amazing parking luck and timing. Ms. Day was one of the first ladies to drive solo in movies and she had the uncanny knack of pulling up in front of the bank, butcher, office, etc. and getting the spot right in front of the door.

As such, Doris Day Parking spots are the PERFECT parking spots - mere steps to the door of any establishment. Good mojo for Doris Day Parking is said to to be acquired by singing the Doris Day version of "Que Sera Sera" as you approach the area in which you are seeking a parking spot.

I was short on time when I drove to the bank at lunch, so I sang "Que Sera Sera" the whole way. When I arrived there was Doris Day Parking; the spot was so close, three steps from my car to the door.

parkissist

A person who feels narcissistically entitled to someone else’s parking spot and will back up to steal it. The parkissist is in a line of cars looking for spaces and has already moved past a spot, but then realizes someone is about to back out of the already-passed spot. Someone else is behind the parkissist and therefore is waiting in the appropriate position for the about-to-be-vacant spot, but the parkissist puts his or her car into reverse and backs up, in order to steal it from the person who deserves it. It does not enter the parkissist’s mind at all that he/she has already passed the spot and therefore should just accept the missed opportunity and move on. Nor does it enter their mind that they are backing up nearly all the way to the front bumper of the person who should rightfully be getting the spot, or that said person should get the spot.

Backing up to snag an about-to-be-open spot is acceptable if there are no other cars behind waiting for that spot, but a Parkissist commits the backing up routine even when there is a line of cars behind.

The act of going to an event venue with absolutely no intentions of seeing the performance or game. Only the sheer intentions of partying hardcore with random tailgaters.
