Genderqueer

An umbrella term used for some non-binary people to describe their gender identity. This identity doesn't have to be particularly related to male or female, and can lie between the two or outside the strict gender binary altogether.

Being genderqueer doesn't automatically make you transgender, but you can still identify as both at the same time, as both are umbrella terms.

A: Hey, did you see Riley anywhere? I can't find her in her office.
B: Actually, Riley is genderqueer, and prefers they/them pronouns. Also, I think I saw them in the cafeteria.
A: Ah, my bad. Thanks!

Genderqueer

Genderqueer is most commonly used to describe a person who feels that their gender identity does not fit into the socially constructed "norms" associated with theit biological sex.

Genderqueer is an identity that falls anywhere between man/boy/male and woman/girl/female on the spectrum of gender identities.

Mary doesn't feel that they fit the mold of any one particular gender; therefore, Mary identifies as genderqueer.

gendertempus

A term for genderfluid individuals regarding the time it takes for their sense of gender to change. If one's gender usually takes 3-5 days to change, then their gendertempus would be 3-5 days.

person 1: it's so annoying when my gender changes when i'm not at home, i'd have to deal with the uncomfort of the current clothes i'm in!
person 2: hmph, i've never felt that way before. maybe it's because my gendertempus is 1-2 weeks.
person 1: my gendertempus is 1 hour-1 day. it's so annoying.

genderqueer

Any position in a wide variety of gender identities, spanning the spectrum between male and female. A person who is Genderqueer is not transgendered, though the option is open to transition. Being genderqueer has no bearing on sexual identity or orientation.

Eli might have a woman's body, but ze doesn't feel like a woman or a man. Eli is genderqueer.

Genderist

Contraction of "gender activist". Someone who believes that sex (our genitals) is a social construct while gender (femininity, masculinity) is an inner feeling more important than your biological reality. Genderists defend gender and make new gender identity labels ( genderqueer , gender fluid , greygender , non binary , demigirl , etc) rather than destroying gender (women and men wearing whatever they want without it to make them not a woman or not a man anymore- which is what any radical feminist fights for). Genderists are trans activists and part of the wider group of liberal "feminists".

Emily: "This guy in my class is such a liberal misogynist, he thinks he's not a man but rather a "demigirl" just because he has long hair and wear make-up..."
Hailey: "Typical genderist! As sexist as any conservative! Men can be feminine and women can be masculine, the way they act and present themselves doesn't change their sex WTF"
Emily: "I know right?! Gender politics are 2.0 anti-feminism, i can't believe we're called "TERFs" for saying the truth!!"
