Deadname

A Deadname is a Name a person under the Trans Umbrella used to have, but they changed it because it makes them uncomfortable.It is not okay to use a Person's Deadname, because they probably told you the name they prefer.

Person 1:hey *deadname*!
Person 2:hi could you please not use this name for me anymore its my Deadname I would like it more if you’d call me beanie.

Referring to someone by the name they were born with instead of the name they chose for themselves after their mental breakdown.

Deadnaming is the act of referring to a person by the name given by their parents, instead of by the name they chose for themselves later in life. It is considered by some to be an evil insult, and considered by others as a simple reference to who someone really is.

"If you grew up with Marilyn Monroe, and you call her Norma Jean, you are deadnaming her. Stop it, you evil monster!"

Dadny
