Any day between Christmas and New Year's Eve when folks return home after spending the holidays with their families and really, really need to get a drink.

An energy drink largely consumed by kids under the age of 14. Basically, kids drink it too look mature, but everyone knows there mommys still tuck them into bed.

From the Title & lyrics of the 1979 Jimmy Buffett song "Boat Drinks". Refers to highly potent (usually rum based) drinks which are easily made on a boat. The reference to someone ordering boat drinks means they are intent on getting very drunk.

A later reference was in the 1995 movie "Things to do in Denver when you're dead".

Boat drinks! The Boys in the band ordered boat drinks!!
